Tinside Lido Unveils Expanded 2026 Events Programme
Tinside Lido is set for its most exciting season yet, with a packed programme of new and returning events transforming Plymouth’s iconic Art Deco pool into one of the city’s most vibrant waterfront venues.
Overlooking the stunning waters of Plymouth Sound, the historic lido is inviting visitors to experience a summer of live music, immersive entertainment and unforgettable coastal moments. From themed evenings and silent discos to early-morning swims and spectacular fireworks viewing, the 2026 programme offers something for everyone.
Public swimming will return from Saturday 23rd May, with visitors able to enjoy the sea-filled pool throughout the summer season. Early morning and late night swimming sessions will once again give swimmers the chance to experience Tinside at some of its most magical moments of the day. Season tickets are now available to purchase from online at www.tinsidelido.co.uk and from the Tinside Lido Coffee Pod, which remains open 12 months of the year serving visitors along Plymouth’s waterfront.

The season kicks off in style with The Sound on the Sound, a live music night taking place on Saturday 9th May as part of Plymouth Waterfront Pirate Weekend. With the lido providing a spectacular ocean-side backdrop, guests can enjoy live performances and a lively atmosphere whilst enjoying a cooked to order BBQ.
Those looking for a more interactive evening can step into the world of intrigue and suspense at the Tinside Lido Murder Mystery nights, launching on Friday 15th May and Friday 19th June. These immersive evenings promise dramatic storytelling, plenty of twists and turns, and the chance for guests to play detective while enjoying the unforgettable setting of the historic pool.
One of Tinside’s most beloved traditions will also make its return this summer. The Summer Solstice Swim takes place on Sunday 21st June, inviting early risers to welcome the longest day of the year with a magical sunrise dip in the sea-filled pool. The event has become a firm favourite among local swimmers and offers a truly memorable start to the day.
As the evenings grow warmer, Tinside will host its popular Sunset Silent Disco nights on Saturday 27th June and Saturday 25th July. With headphones on and the sun setting over Plymouth Sound, guests can dance the night away poolside while choosing their own soundtrack, Not your speed? why not relax and join a floating sound bath taking place on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th July courtesy of Serenity Waves.
In August, visitors will also have the chance to enjoy one of Plymouth’s biggest events from a truly unique vantage point. On 12th and 13th August, Tinside Lido will host special viewing events for the British Firework Championships, offering guests spectacular poolside views of the dazzling displays lighting up the night sky above Plymouth Sound.
Alongside its expanding public events calendar, building on the success of 2025, the venue has hosted a range of private events; from parties and networking gatherings to its very first wedding ceremony taking place later this year.
The lido, which celebrated its 90th anniversary last year, has been carefully restored and reimagined as part of the UK’s first National Marine Park, with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Heritage Horizons Award, the UK Government’s Youth Investment Fund and Levelling Up Fund and Plymouth City Council.
