Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Act as the senior duty lead during shifts, responsible for the safe running of the site(s) including pool operations
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure all security protocols are followed.
- Conduct building checks, H&S compliance tasks, incident reporting, and emergency response.
- Coordinate staff across departments to maintain operational standards and customer service.
- Support departmental image and revenue growth through service excellence and collaboration
- Enforce correct dress codes and professional behaviour amongst all staff
Customer Service & Hospitality Oversight
- Responsible for hospitality services when relevant, including Coffee Pod/events cover.
- Step into FOH service roles when required (e.g., barista/bar support or event hosting).
- Handle customer queries, feedback and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure a positive guest experience and uphold customer service culture among staff.
- Ensure high quality execution of events
- Act as departmental lead in absence of Food & Beverage Manager
- Lead, train and support the operations team to meet service standards
Staff Supervision & Development
- Provide on-shift supervision, coaching, and support to staff across facilities, leisure, and hospitality teams.
- Assist in staff training including safety, customer service and venue standards.
- Maintain high team morale, presentation, and performance through example-based leadership.
Finance & Compliance
- Oversee cash handling, till checks, safe checks and cashing-up processes when required.
- Ensure compliance with H&S, food hygiene (where applicable), safeguarding and licensing regulations.
- Complete shift logs, handovers and incident documentation accurately.
Person Specification:
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Essential:
- Experience in a supervisory or duty manager role within leisure, hospitality or retail.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Pool plant certification
- RLSS Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- RLSS Trainer Qualification
- Ioshh Certified
- First Aid trained
- Able to work flexibly year-round including evenings and weekends.
- Food hygiene level 2 desirable
- Legionella Responsible persons
- Personal licence holder or willing to obtain.
- Working towards level 2 Events planning
