Live at the Lido
Proudly putting Plymouth’s stunning fore shore centre stage, ‘Live at the Lido’ welcomes for the very first time Global artists and performers, to one of the most recognisable and beautiful Lidos in the World!
Situated prominently on Plymouth’s beautiful waterfront, and bathed in nearly a century of history and nostalgia, ‘Live at the Lido’ will bring this stunning vantage point to life with music, sun sets, and those incredible panoramic vistas across Plymouth Sound and Drake’s Island.
We are incredibly thrilled to announce this special programme of music events, taking place during July and August, pioneering the use of the Tinside Lido Sun Terrace as never seen before.
Spanning four weekend dates, and the culmination of a city wide collaboration across Plymouth, involving both Cultural and Music sectors, this unique series of events will be taking place at the No.1 outdoor pool in the UK, as listed by Marie Claire Magazine, right here in Britain’s Ocean City.
‘Live at the Lido’ will see Global artists, DJs and Brands such as Todd Terry, Café Mambo Ibiza and Hedkandi, perform alongside the very best of the city’s cultural and musical talent, from the likes of the Barbican Theatre and DancersHip.
This exciting project has only been made possible by the considerable and collective effort of numerous city institutions, and organisations, such as Plymouth Culture, Plymouth Active, Barbican Theatre, The Box, Plymouth CityBus, The Big Blue Splash and the launch of the National Marine Park.

GB divers face international competition at Futures Cup Plymouth Life Centre
Current and future stars of British Diving will go up against international counterparts in an exciting new competition as Plymouth Active Leisure plays host to the inaugural Futures Cup this week. The event will feature both junior and senior divers and provide a valuable competition opportunity for divers who have not been able to compete in as many events and competitions as they would have liked over the past two years.
Athletes representing Great Britain and each of the Home Nations of England, Scotland and Wales will compete with rivals from the USA, Canada and Ukraine across two days of top-level competition at the Plymouth Life Centre over the weekend of 14th and 15th May.
Among the standout names due to compete, Olympic champion Matty Lee will dive alongside fellow Olympian Noah Williams in the Men’s 10m Synchro, with Eden Cheng and Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix combining in the women’s equivalent. James Heatly, Grace Reid and Matthew Dixon are also set to be involved among the senior ranks, with Desharne Bent-Ashmeil, Amy Rollinson and Leon Baker all heading into the event after securing junior titles earlier this month in Southend.
Meanwhile, platform synchro duo Oleksii Sereda and Kirill Boliukh from the Ukraine are set to compete.
